Founded by Mahogany Reynolds-Clarke (a.k.a. Mahogany Reynolds) an award winning actress with an extensive background as a model, Just Be You Performing Arts is more than her passion project. She considers it a calling. Under her positive and empowering coaching and mentoring the artists of Just Be You are thriving. Ms. Mahogany (as her students affectionately call her) is beyond a triple-threat performing artist, originally from Detroit, Michigan. She has held lead roles in major independent film; as well as, theater. Ranging from mysteriously dangerous vixen, strong devoted mother, to schizophrenic homeless woman. Mahogany believes that diversity as an actress equals longetivity. She began her career in the performing arts as both an actress and a playwright. Having written, produced and directed several stage plays. Mahogany enjoys incorporating her Bachelor's degree in communication/journalism into her artistry. Being a strong communicator helps Mahogany bring her characters to life. Her passion to motivate and enrich the lives of young people shines through in Just Be You Performing Arts. She strives to teach young artist to build a career rooted in faith and hard work. To pay tribute to her mother; Mahogany named a scholarship fund after her belated mother, who always supported her dreams. It is Mahogany's ultimate goal to help young artist realize their own dreams. That despite where you come from, what you look like, or what you've been through, you can achieve your goals, if you remember to Just Be You.
